It’s the holiday season, so bring on the sweaters, the peppermint mocha lattes and the cookie swaps! But don’t cross exercise off your to-do list and reach for the Spanx just yet, we’ve got some tips and tricks to help you look and feel your best all season long.

Give me 20. According to the Los Angeles Times, if you can fit in 20 minutes of circuit training, three to four times each week, that will hold you over until January when you have more time and energy to tackle your fitness goals. The key is compressing your workouts into short, but intense sessions to get your heart rate up and build strength.

Take it with you. It’s the most traveled time of the year. And if you’re stuck in car traffic or in long lines at the airport, working out is never going to sound nearly as good as taking a nap—but don’t give in. Once you reach your destination, keep your energy up with some bodyweight strength training. Lunges, pushups, planks, sit-ups and squats can all be done at your in-law’s house, grandma’s house or even in between wrapping presents.

Make a lunch date. Step away from your favorite online shopping site and step into the gym during your lunch break. A quick sweat session will let you indulge a little this season without the guilt—and Flow Fitness has 30-45 minute classes in Spin, Zumba, Yoga, Bootcamp and Tabata that are the perfect way to get away from your desk and do something good for your body and mind.

Start snacking. Not on the candies and cookies in the breakroom at work, on exercise! Fit in small bite-sized workouts throughout your day, like adding an extra block when walking the dog, skipping the elevator for the stairs, parking on the other side of the lot or even having a dance party with your kiddos before dinner. It all adds up to keep you looking good—and feeling great!
