Make YOU Your New Year's Resolution

It is that time of year. People pledge to lose weight, exercise more, eat better, and maybe sleep more.

We love this time of year in the gym industry. The influx of new members and the return of old members energizes us. We know there is a ton of good intentions out there and we want you to succeed, because when you are successful, we are too. However, we know we can’t make everyone feel passionate about going to the gym no matter how enthusiastically we greet you upon arrival. But my challenge for you in 2018: Get passionate about your health.

Here is the truth. There are no short cuts to improving health and fitness. There is not a single workout that is right for everyone. And, we all need good wholesome food to nourish a body, especially during these cold winter months—but that doesn’t mean you have to feel deprived, just the opposite! Check out ULicious in Flow Fitness for tasty advice and some nourishing smoothies that are not only good for your body but they are super delicious.

Once you begin to blend exercise and nutrition, it is the consistency over a long period of time that will make a difference in your health.  But sometimes life gets in the way and your day to day activity gets interrupted. Just recently I experienced a series of events that altered my own exercise regimen—yes, even a fitness instructor occasionally gets sidetracked! Now I am back to my normal routine and I feel so much better! I have talked about exercise and nutrition for nearly 30 years—and getting back to practicing what you preach can be very validating and reassuring.

So again, my challenge for you is this: Take care of yourself. Focus on your well-being and all the positive opportunities that may come your way in 2018, and if we can help guide you in any way at Flow Fitness, let us know.

Best Wishes for a Happy, Healthy New Year!
